Technical audit
We check indexability and indexing, canonicals, redirects, the XML sitemap and internal links, as well as mobile usability and performance. The audit records specific findings and technical barriers.
01 / 04 · VABOA · VALAIS
Guests do not only search for your name. They ask about places, experiences and suitable offers in search engines and AI systems. We make your offer easier to understand and guide interest towards an enquiry or booking.
01 / THE CHALLENGE
Missing pages, unclear information or a hidden next step limit the value of any visit. We look at visibility and what happens after someone arrives.
OUR APPROACH
We connect guest questions with relevant offer pages that search and AI systems can access and understand.
02 / WHAT IS POSSIBLE
No standard keyword list: we prioritise changes that suit your audience, languages and existing pages.
We check indexability and indexing, canonicals, redirects, the XML sitemap and internal links, as well as mobile usability and performance. The audit records specific findings and technical barriers.
We map search topics and the intent behind them to relevant existing or needed pages, rather than delivering a generic keyword list.
We optimise offer pages with relevant titles, headings and internal links. For Google Business Profile, we check consistent business details, services and offers, and review management.
We account for search behaviour in German, French and English, translation quality and correct language targeting with hreflang.
Using available data, we document a baseline, implemented measures, search development and qualified enquiries, then identify next steps.
GEO / GOOGLE SEARCH
Your offer, clearly positioned for Google and AI. Helping the right guests find you and turn interest into enquiries.
SERVICE OPTIONS
After the audit, you choose how much support you need. We agree the scope and cadence in advance.
You receive a review and prioritised recommendations; implementation is not included.
We implement the technical, structural or content changes that have been explicitly agreed.
For continued support, we agree the tasks, scope and cadence together.
03 / IN PRACTICE
Often the answer is not more content, but better connected information and clearer next steps.
Your experiences or services do not answer the questions potential guests actually ask.
German, French and English need thoughtful pages, not just word-for-word translations.
Visitors find a page but not the route to availability, contact or booking.
04 / FROM OUR WORK
For WOODMOOD, SEO and ads complement a website connected to booking, payment and an automated guest journey.

WHY VABOA
We know Valais hotel operations and consider visibility, sales journeys, systems and data together. We work in English, German and French and implement the agreed steps ourselves.
FAQ
We agree the scope based on your website and goals. Depending on the brief, we review indexability and indexing, canonicals, redirects, the sitemap, internal links, mobile usability and performance, as well as mapping search topics to offer pages, titles, headings and internal links.
GEO means optimisation for generative search experiences. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode use normal SEO foundations: helpful, original content and pages that are accessible, indexable and eligible for snippets. No special schema is required, and AI placement or mentions are not guaranteed. Google explains this in its official guidance on AI features in Search.
We do not quote a flat price without knowing the scope. The written quote depends, among other things, on the scope, languages, number of pages and access needed. You receive a written quote before work begins.
Depending on the questions, delegated access to Google Search Console, Analytics or Google Business Profile may be needed. CMS access is only needed to implement agreed changes. Never send passwords; share access securely with appropriate permissions.
You receive documented, prioritised findings with supporting evidence, recommended actions and proposed owners. The agreed deliverables and next steps are clearly recorded.
Usually not. We first assess focused improvements to the current website and do not recommend an unnecessary rebuild. A rebuild is considered only when the findings justify it.
You can choose a one-off audit without implementation, implementation of explicitly agreed changes, or ongoing support. For ongoing work, we agree tasks, scope and cadence together in advance.
For a clearly scoped audit of one hotel website, allow an indicative one to three weeks once the necessary access is available. Page count, languages and technical complexity affect the work; we agree the scope and deadline in advance. The audit delivers findings and prioritised recommendations, not their implementation. We assess SEO changes over several months after implementation. Specific rankings or mentions in AI answers cannot be guaranteed.
We check whether business details are consistent across relevant channels and review profile information, services and offers, and review management. A profile complements the website; it does not replace useful offer pages.
We consider search intent in each language market, the quality and adaptation of translations, and whether language versions are technically assigned correctly, including through hreflang.
Using available search and conversion data, we distinguish branded from non-branded searches with brand-query filters and variants. We report on the baseline, implemented measures, search development and qualified enquiries. A non-branded search does not automatically mean a new customer; enquiries cannot be attributed precisely to individual queries. There is no separate Search Console report for AI Search, and AI mentions cannot be measured completely.
